Description

Triple Residential Property by the Water Westkolk 52, 54 en 56. Unique and stylishly restored listed monument located in one of the most beautiful places in the municipality of Haarlem. Prominently situated by the water, this property offers exquisite natural light and stunning views of the river Spaarne, the harbor, and the picturesque village of Spaarndam. With an abundance of space, this property offers endless possibilities. The current layout includes two living rooms, a large library, three kitchens, areas suited for meetings/atelier/shop use, five bedrooms, and three bathrooms. In 1636, the building was used as a sailmaker’s workshop, and in 1872 it was converted into a residential property. Many original features have been preserved during its extensive renovation. Westkolk 52-54-56 comprises three interconnected houses. Number 52 can be closed off and used as a separate living unit. The entire property is only connected to neighbors on one short side and is otherwise completely freestanding, with unobstructed views. There are several entrances to the house, both from the Taanplaats side and the Westkolk side. Spaarndam was established in the year 1200 as a dam between the Zuiderzee and the Spaarne River. Today, Spaarndam is a wonderful residential area close to Amsterdam, Haarlem, the Kennemer dunes, and the coast. Here you can enjoy the tranquility of a historic village while being in close proximity to two major cities. Spaarndam itself features a marina, a cozy local café, various restaurants and terraces, and a large Albert Heijn supermarket. Additionally, the village offers two primary schools and a medical center. In just 10 minutes by car, you can reach Haarlem Spaarnwoude train station, from where a train will take you to Amsterdam Central Station in 15 minutes. Haarlem boasts numerous secondary schools as well as an international school within cycling distance. Spaarndam borders the Spaarnwoude recreational area, offering countless opportunities for relaxation and entertainment. Bloemendaal Beach and the Kennemer dunes are also easily reachable by bike.
