Description
Please pay attention: the minimum age requirement for this property is 50 years!
Spacious and bright 2-bedroom corner apartment, located in the apartment complex “Park Welgelegen” in Oog in Al. Situated on the third floor, this apartment enjoys a prime position at the far corner of the rear wing of the building. Thanks to its corner location, the property benefits from an abundance of natural light. From the living room, you have a pleasant open view over the thatched-roof houses along Bizetlaan. In the basement, you have access to a private storage unit, and the complex features a beautifully landscaped communal courtyard garden.
The “Welgelegen” neighborhood is located on the edge of Oog in Al, a characteristic 1930s area with an almost village-like atmosphere. All amenities are within walking distance, including a health center, library, various shops (Händelstraat), and restaurants. The city center is easily accessible by public transport or bicycle, and the A2 motorway can be reached within a few minutes by car.
Living in Park Welgelegen is best described as stated in its own brochure:
Park Welgelegen is situated on historic grounds in the Oog in Al district, in the Welgelegen neighborhood of Utrecht. In 1700, a farm named Den Bouwacker stood on this site. Around 1850, the white country house Welgelegen was built. Following a major renovation in 1990, Park Welgelegen acquired its current form.
The residential complex consists of 111 apartments, of which 86 are owner-occupied and 25 are rental units. The owner-occupied apartments are privately owned by residents. The rental apartments, the main building (the white country house), all communal areas, both parking garages, and the outdoor parking spaces are owned by the Den Bouwacker Foundation. The homeowners’ association (VvE) management has been outsourced. The land, owned by the municipality of Utrecht, was issued under a long leasehold (erfpacht), which has been bought off in perpetuity.
For many people, the age of 50 marks a new phase in life where they can spend their free time as they wish. This is why Park Welgelegen offers numerous facilities to stay active, which also helps foster a strong sense of community among residents.
Various activities are organized by and for residents. There are several active resident clubs offering social, sporting, and creative activities. Participation is voluntary, and any associated costs are charged to participants.
In addition to several apartments, the main building houses communal spaces for activities and meetings, practice rooms for a physiotherapist, pedicurist, and hairdresser, as well as two guest rooms. A caretaker is present every weekday morning, and a mobile shop visits twice a week on Monday and Thursday afternoons.
Park Welgelegen is a 50+ residential complex, meaning all residents must be at least 50 years old. Residents must be able to live independently.
The residents’ association manages the main building, practice spaces, and guest rooms on behalf of the Den Bouwacker Foundation.
All residents, both owners and tenants, automatically become members of the residents’ association.
