The past few months have been all about going back in time, reminiscing, and saying goodbye. So now the time has come to say goodbye to our childhood home, where we have so many wonderful memories. We hope this house will be as wonderful a place for the next resident(s) as it was for us for so many years.
Our childhood home was built in 1990, and in 1991, we were the first residents to move in. As a family, we moved from IJmuiden to Velserbroek, where we continued to build our lives.
From a young age, we were able to grow up enjoying this lovely, child-rich neighborhood in Velserbroek. In the summer, all the neighborhood children were mainly found outdoors, and in the evenings, they cast fishing rods from the patio or went boating on the ditch. In the winters, we hoped for freezing temperatures so we could skate from the garden.
Even when we were teenagers, we loved living in Velserbroek. Sports clubs are nearby, the high school is within cycling distance, and Haarlem's city center is just around the corner. The beach is also easily accessible by bike. In short, a wonderfully central location with plenty to do.
