Leasing criteria
To qualify for an apartment at OurDomain Amsterdam Bullewijk, you must be at least 18 years old on the date you sign the lease agreement. Income requirements also apply, depending on the rental segment. The rent and income thresholds below are based on 2026 levels.
Mid-rent apartments
For apartments with a monthly base rent from €932.94 up to and including €1,228.07, a minimum income requirement applies. Applying on your own? Your gross monthly income must be at least three times the monthly base rent. Applying with a second person? Your combined gross monthly income must be at least four times the monthly base rent.
Your gross annual household income must not exceed €85,005 for a one-person household or €93,531 for a household of two or more people. These maximum income limits do not apply if you vacate a social rental home owned by a housing association in the Amsterdam region.
For a mid-rent apartment, you need a housing permit from the municipality of Amsterdam.
Free-market apartments
For apartments with a monthly base rent above €1,228.07, your gross monthly income must be at least three times the monthly base rent if you apply alone. If you apply with a second person, your combined gross monthly income must be at least four times the monthly base rent.
For a monthly base rent above €2,500, adjusted income requirements apply: at least 2.75 times the monthly base rent for an individual application and at least 3.75 times the monthly base rent for a joint application.
For free-market apartments, there is no maximum income limit and no housing permit is required.
