In old IJmuiden, a small-scale new-build project is being realized on Bik- and Arnoldkade and Duinstraat. It is called: Groote Visscherij.
This project consists of eight apartments and four single-family homes. Together, these apartments and homes share a courtyard where 12 private parking spaces will be created.
Apartments
The eight three- and four-room apartments on Duinstraat are located in a modern three-story building. The apartments on the upper floors have a spacious indoor balcony (loggia) facing west, and the ground floor apartments will have their own garden.
The access route to the courtyard runs under the building from Duinstraat. The parking spaces are located in the courtyard, which also provides access to the storage rooms for the apartments.
Homes
The four homes on Bik- and Arnoldkade are unique in the region. The possibility of installing an elevator means that the homes can be made suitable for all stages of life. It is also possible to convert the home for dual occupancy (ideal for children who live at home longer or for informal care), to start a home office, or simply to have plenty of space for a large family, given the possibility of five bedrooms!
The homes offer a beautiful, light-filled living room on the first floor with a view of the harbor and will have an indoor conservatory, a true “orangerie,” at the front (the front deck). This open space on the first floor enjoys plenty of light through the windows and connects cooking, dining, and living in a cozy way.
At the rear of this floor is the basic layout for the kitchen and a spacious second outdoor area (terrace) located on the courtyard. The parking space for the car will be located under this terrace.
When the weather is nice, you always have the choice: do you want to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner (with fresh fish) on the front or rear deck?
The indoor conservatory at the front is the sunniest, facing southwest.
Each apartment/house comes with one private parking space for €15,000.
