Description

Are you looking for a characteristic house (1936) in which you can create your own atmosphere and style, then this semi-detached house is really something for you! The cozy, extended house with a front and back garden and three bedrooms is situated in a beautiful rural location, adjacent to the De Reef nature reserve, in the child-friendly neighborhood of Westzaan Noord. The house offers unobstructed views from both the front and the rear. A peaceful, quiet location, and yet you are only a 20-minute drive from Amsterdam.

You will find facilities in the center of Westzaan, which is about 5 minutes by bike. Here are the supermarket, childcare, primary school, various shops and medical facilities. Of course, the facilities of the nearby city of Zaandam are also easily accessible, such as various forms of secondary education, the many sports associations of that city and the center, including the cinema, the theater and many cozy cafes and restaurants. You will find the bus stop within walking distance and several train stations (Zaandijk Zaanse Schans, Koog aan de Zaan) are less than 10 minutes by bike. The A8 motorway, which connects to the A10 ring road around Amsterdam, is only a few minutes' drive away.

Layout:

Ground floor: through the partly green, partly paved front garden you reach the front door with stained glass side windows. Entrance with meter closet and wardrobe, access to the neatly tiled (wall-mounted) toilet with sink and the front room, followed by the living room with open kitchen. The front room has an authentic bay window and a fireplace with gas stove and two fixed storage closets. Herringbone parquet is on the floor. There is a passage to the back room. In the partition wall is a window with rod distribution. The back room has an open fireplace and there are flagstones on the floor with underfloor heating. The back room has a U-shaped kitchen (1980) at the rear with wooden fronts and a separate gas cooker. The kitchen is spacious enough to accommodate a dining table. It gets plenty of daylight through large windows and a skylight and there is a door to the garden. Through the kitchen you reach the spacious utility room. Here you will find the central heating system and the connections for washing machine and dryer, as well as plenty of storage space. The utility room also has a door to the garden.

First floor: via the open staircase in the living room you reach the landing of the first floor. Here you will find three bedrooms. Two bedrooms, one of which has a fixed closet, are located at the rear, and one at the front of the house, next to the bathroom. This floor has a dormer on both the front and the rear. All rooms receive sufficient daylight and offer a wonderful unobstructed view. Laminate is on the floor. In the lightly tiled bathroom you will find a bath with shower and splash screen, a wall-mounted toilet, a bidet and a vanity unit with sink and mirror.

Second floor: you reach the attic floor via a staircase. Here is room for creating an extra bedroom or a work space. Daylight enters through two skylights at the rear. The roof is insulated and there are wooden floorboards

Garden: the house has a front and back garden. Both are partly tiled or paved and partly green. The deep, sheltered backyard with wooden deck offers a beautiful, unobstructed view over the polder landscape. The garden faces east and you have sunshine here from noon until the evening. A great place for lounging and outside dining in summer! In the garden is a wooden shed and there is a back entrance.

There is ample parking space in front of the property.
