The House
The width of the freehold plot here on the dike is truly exceptional. The large house essentially comprises two sections, with a large garage/shed and carport built beside it. Behind the entrance lies the hall, leading to the spacious kitchen-diner and the bright living room with a wood stove (Jacobus) and charming bay window. The large rear terrace is accessible from the living room via sliding doors. The utility room/rear entrance is also accessible from the hall. At the front of the house is a sizable bedroom with an en-suite bathroom featuring a toilet, walk-in shower, and washbasin.
On the first floor, in the left section of the house, are three spacious bedrooms, all accessible from the landing. There is also a hatch to the attic. The bathroom has a bathtub, walk-in shower, double washbasin, and toilet. In the other section, via a slight level difference, is a large (bed)room with ample storage space.
The Outbuilding
To the right of the house is a large shed/garage of over 35 m² with an attic. Beneath the garage, below dike level, is additional storage space. In front of the garage, at street level, a nearly as large carport has been built, providing ample on-site parking for 4 cars.
The Garden
Outdoor living at this house is fantastic. At the front, it's always enjoyable to watch boats and yachts sail along the Ringvaart canal. On sunny days, the dike is bustling with cyclists and walkers. Across the water, slightly to the north/east, is a large nature reserve. Birds of prey are frequently seen soaring above the trees. The front garden faces south/east, perfect for enjoying morning coffee in the sun. This terrace extends to the side of the house. And then there's the rear. A terrace spans the entire width at dike level. A staircase leads to the lower garden, an oasis of greenery with sunny and shaded spots. The plot's large size is unique along the dike. Across the road, a boat mooring is rented from the Rijnland Regional Water Authority for approximately €200 per year. An offer has been requested to buy this mooring spot.
Aalsmeerderbrug
Aalsmeerderbrug is one of the smallest residential areas in the Haarlemmermeer municipality. Its name indicates its location: situated by the bridge over the Ringvaart canal near Aalsmeer. This section of the dike has been made low-traffic. The road is mainly used by local traffic, cyclists, and walkers. Aalsmeer is located across the water and is easily accessible by bicycle. By boat, you can easily sail to the marina in the center and load your groceries. Amsterdam, Kaag, and Leiden are also accessible by boat. A short distance away is a large bus station with direct bus connections to Hoofddorp (15 minutes, railway station, theaters, restaurants, schools, and large shopping center), Haarlem, the Schiphol Cirkellijn to Schiphol Airport (10/15 minutes, railway station), Uithoorn (light rail connection to Amsterdam South Station), Utrecht, and Amsterdam. With access roads to the A4 and Ring A10, A9, and A2 highways, the cities in the Randstad area are easily accessible.
