Eye-catcherGerenoveerd (2009) en charmant driekamerappartement op eigen grond.
Description
Renovated (2009) and charming three-room apartment on freehold land (so no ground lease!) of approximately 70 m² with a spacious southeast-facing balcony at the rear.
LAYOUT
Through the shared staircase, you enter the apartment on the second floor into a wonderfully bright living room that stretches nearly nine meters in length. As you walk in, the warm and inviting atmosphere is immediately noticeable. At the rear, a cozy sitting area offers access to the balcony of about seven meters wide, which spans nearly the entire width of the apartment and faces southeast. The dining area and kitchen are located at the front, where large windows let in plenty of light and offer a pleasant view of the charming Czaar Peterstraat. Although the street looks lively, it is surprisingly quiet. The white kitchen is well laid out and equipped with various built-in appliances, including a Siemens oven and a five-burner gas hob.
Through a small hallway, you reach the sleeping area, where two generously sized bedrooms of approximately five meters in length are located. The rear bedroom serves as the master and has direct access to the balcony, perfect for opening the doors in the morning and starting the day in peace. The front bedroom is currently used as a child’s room but could easily function as a guest or home office.
The bathroom, accessible from both bedrooms, is light and modern, featuring a walk-in shower, washbasin cabinet, and towel radiator. Adjacent to the master bedroom is a separate utility space with connections for a washing machine and the central heating system.
The toilet is separate from the bathroom and located off the hallway.
LOCATION
The Czaar Peterbuurt is one of the most sought-after neighborhoods on the edge of Amsterdam’s city center. The area has a distinct character, with the Czaar Peterstraat as its vibrant core. Here, you’ll find artisan shops, boutiques, coffee bars, and excellent restaurants, yet without the hustle and bustle of the inner city. In 2015, the street was voted the nicest shopping street in the Netherlands, a title it still lives up to today.
In the immediate vicinity are well-known spots such as Stadsbakkerij As, Counter Deli, Pizza Vagabond, and Brouwerij ’t IJ. You’ll also find specialty shops like Fromagerie Abraham Kef and Kaffa Koffie for your daily coffee. Several supermarket, including an organic option, are nearby, and the lively Dappermarkt is just a short walk away.
Accessibility is excellent. The Piet Heintunnel connects you to the A10 ring road within minutes, and tram lines 7 and 26 take you quickly to the city center or Central Station. Muiderpoort Station is just a ten-minute bike ride away. Nestled between the Plantagebuurt, the Eastern Docklands, and Amsterdam Oost, the Czaar Peterbuurt is perfectly positioned, both tranquil and central.
The City of Amsterdam is currently investing in the redevelopment of the Czaar Peterstraat. The street is being redesigned to be more pedestrian- and bicycle-friendly, with wider bike lanes in both directions, renewed tram tracks, and more greenery, while the characteristic tree-lined avenue will be preserved. The project is part of the city’s Binnenring improvement program and is expected to be completed in 2026.
