When did you buy the property and why did you decide to buy it? Five years ago, I had the opportunity to buy the apartment on Jacques Veltmanstraat. I immediately fell in love with the bright rooms and the fantastic unobstructed view, two balconies (one with morning sun and one with afternoon/evening sun) and, of course, the vibrant location! The apartment was then thoroughly renovated. The kitchen and floors were renewed, the walls were plastered and painted, and I took care of all the electrical and plumbing work. What makes living in this house and neighborhood so pleasant? Everything, really. It's the combination of several factors that has made my stay here so enjoyable. The house: - Space: the apartment has a beautiful, light-filled living room and two spacious bedrooms. - Storage space: in addition to the ample space in the apartment itself, this apartment comes with two storage rooms: one 6m2 storage room in the attic and one 4m2 storage room on the ground floor. - Outdoor spaces: the house has two balconies, allowing you to enjoy both the morning and evening sun. On both sides, you have a beautiful and lively view from the 4th floor. This also allows you to open the doors on both sides of the apartment. This allows a lovely breeze to blow through the house in the summer. - Light: because of the outdoor spaces on both sides of the apartment, there are also many windows on both sides. This provides plenty of light in all living areas. - The bathroom: the bathroom and toilet were renovated in early 2023. The small space has been transformed into a stylish and functional bathroom, with room for both a washing machine and a dryer. - Construction: the complex is made of concrete, which means it is well insulated and you will not be bothered by noisy walls and floors. There are also many sports facilities, playgrounds, and swimming spots in the area. Nearby, you will find nice terraces, restaurants, clubs, and all the other amenities that the city of Amsterdam has to offer. You can reach the city center within 10 minutes by bike. Why are you leaving/why is the house for sale? I have enjoyed living here for the past five years, the last two of which with my boyfriend. It is a wonderful house where we could have stayed for years to come. Due to the expansion of our family, we are moving to a house with three bedrooms and a garden. Fortunately, we have found something around the corner, so we can stay in this lovely neighborhood.
