Seller tells. When did you buy the home and why did you decide to buy this property then? In 2016, we bought this home in cozy 'Disteldorp'. The house was small but nice with its 51 m2, but really a house: two floors with front and back gardens. At the time, we expected the neighborhood to develop very much and we were not disappointed in that. It really appealed to us that there are all kinds of amenities within walking distance: two supermarkets, an artisan bakery, a wine store, nice coffee shops, but also just a market where you can buy vegetables and flowers for little money. What makes it so pleasant to live in this house and in this neighborhood? In this house on the one hand you have the feeling of living in a village, on the other hand all amenities are just steps away. In the courtyard where the backyard is adjacent to it is always quiet, there are often cozy neighborhood cats visiting and you can from spring a large part of the day to sit in the sun. In March the cherry trees are in beautiful bloom, which we have always enjoyed immensely! And the Thistle Village lends itself perfectly to a “tour of the village” on a beautiful summer evening. You imagine yourself outside Amsterdam. At the front, on the other hand, there is always liveliness. We enjoyed sitting on a bench in front of the door in the morning drinking coffee and feasting our eyes on what was going on. Many passersby like to say hello or have a quick chat. We always found the mix of all kinds of people in Thistle Village to be enriching. When we weren't staying home, there was more than enough to do in Noord. Getting coffee at Café Keppler, cheese shop Kef on Van der Pekplein, taking a walk or running in Noorderpark. And of course eating at Café Modern - we still go there regularly, even though we now live in Utrecht! Why are you leaving/why is the house for sale? To be able to live a little bigger, we bought a newly built house in Utrecht in 2022, the place where one of us two is from. In the period that followed, we rented out the house temporarily, because we couldn't really say goodbye yet. Now that moment has unfortunately arrived; we hope that the new occupant will enjoy this house as much as we do!
