Attic * Accessible via a charming fixed staircase. * A good storage attic with also the installation for the hot air heating. Garden: * A dream garden! Very spacious, with virtually no intrusion of views and plenty of privacy. * The house is slightly higher than the garden, making it feel even more impressive. * The garden is sleek and very well maintained, with vegetation, neat gravel paths, beech and box hedges. * The entire garden is equipped with a watering system. * Nice: the original stone pond in the front garden. * Endless possibilities for the garden: there is more than enough space to build an outbuilding or canopy. * But also a play- or sports field, lawn, several terraces, and, after obtaining a permit, even a swimming pond! In short: a perfect basis and very special appearance, but still the possibility to make this house completely your own, with relatively little work! And along with that, that amazing garden. A unique opportunity. Villa Veldhoeve Villa Veldhoeve is a wonderful example of a smaller country house designed by architect J.W. Hanrath. This country house, situated on a narrow, deep plot on the edge of an old field, reflects the development of traditionalism in the work of country house builder Hanrath. The high-quality, attractive Dutch brick was left exposed, allowing the beautiful structure of the material to remain visible. At a time when many distinguished people still preferred a plastered villa—take a look further down the Godelindeweg, for example—this was unusual. A deliberately old Dutch feel was pursued. The rod anchors on the facades have been incorporated into the west facade to form date anchors, spelling out ANNO 1898. The decisive feature of the house's appearance are the gables that dominate three sides of the house. The gables are crowned by a spout with a brick-built head and are decorated with braidwork, topped with bluestone cover plates. In 1909 and 1924, the country house was expanded according to Hanrath's design. At the front is an architectural garden with, among other things, a stylishly designed pond. In the back garden is a landscape feature consisting of a double row of trees that probably provided shade for animals or a vegetable garden.
