There's a supermarket open 7 days a week, a bakery, a butcher, and several other charming shops. Children can safely cycle to primary school from the house without having to cross a road. Oosthuizen also has an active community life: football, drama, or tennis—it's all possible in the village. You don't often see it: a deep front garden that effectively serves as the main garden.
