The building block Valeriusstraat 87-91: The building dates from 1904 and many buildings were designed by the same architects at the time. Valeriusstraat 89 (the middle facade) was built by the architectural duo P.A.J. Scheelbeek and J.J. Heijthekker, who designed more imaginatively than their colleagues. Many houses in this street have beautiful Art Nouveau details such as fencing with whip lines, pointed arches, stained glass, and sometimes tile panels in portals and on arches.
