Description

Welcome home at Oostergosingel 12 in The Hague This well-maintained and luxurious 6-room family home built in 2009, spread over four floors, offers everything you dream of: a bright and spacious living room, open-plan kitchen, five comfortable bedrooms, a sunny garden on the waterfront and your on-site parking space. Here you experience the convenience of modern new construction with the warmth of a family home on a daily basis. Quiet living with all conveniences at your fingertips. The house is located on a quiet canal in the popular ‘De Binnentuinen’ neighbourhood, a place where children still play safely in the streets and you can enjoy the unique 1930s atmosphere. The charming streets, green avenues and picturesque water features give this neighbourhood a relaxed and homely feel. Moreover, you will find schools, shops and public transport within walking distance. Ground floor Through the meticulously maintained front garden with private parking for car and bike, you enter the hall. Next to the hall is a storage room of approximately 5 m², accessible from outside, in the hall a modern, fully tiled toilet room with a toilet and sink. The double sliding doors lead into the spacious, bright living room where large windows provide a warm incidence of daylight. Here you can easily create a TV corner, a cosy seating area and a play corner for the children. While you relax on the couch, enjoy the view of the sunny garden and the soothing water. The spacious kitchen is ideal for any cooking enthusiast: a central cooking island forms the heart of the room, surrounded by practical storage cupboards and a handy pull-out cabinet. Here you have everything on hand to create culinary delights. A Quooker and Siemens built-in appliances, including two refrigerators (with freezer compartment), a combination oven and an induction hob with built-in extractor, complete the picture. First floor The staircase in the hallway takes you to the first floor. From the landing, you have access to three spacious, bright bedrooms (1 at the front and 2 at the back) and a bathroom. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, a shower with thermostatic mixer tap with 2 shower heads, 2 washbasins with mirror cabinets and a toilet. Second floor The fixed staircase takes you to the second floor. You come to a spacious landing with lots of light and the possibility of creating extra (work) space, 2 spacious, bright bedrooms and a room for washing machine, dryer and storage. The landing offers access to the upper loft via a loft ladder. Third floor The loft with headroom extends the entire width of the house and offers enormous storage space. Backyard Step straight from the living room into your own sunny oasis. The back garden, facing south, offers a lovely terrace on different levels. On the wooden decking terrace by the water, you can relax with a cup of coffee while the ducks swim by. This is your own piece of nature in the city - a place where you can unwind, enjoy the sun and the children play outside. We would love to show you photos of our garden in summer when you visit. Surroundings In the immediate vicinity there are various recreational and green areas, schools, shops (Hoge Veld shopping centre, pharmacy, library, dentist's and GP's office at 5 minutes' walking distance) and public transport. By car, you can reach the cosy centre of Wateringen in 5 minutes or drive on the A4, A12 or A13. By bike, you can be on the beach, in the centre of The Hague or in charming Delft within 20 minutes. Leasehold right bought off in perpetuity Short interview with the residents Why did you ever buy this house? When we bought this house almost eight years ago, the space of the house and the nice neighbourhood really appealed to us. We also found the layout very practical: there are five bedrooms upstairs, four of which are the same spacious size and one is slightly smaller. We use that one as a walk-in closet. The location of the back garden facing south and next to a water is also a plus. Our little son swims there in summer with friends and sails our boat while we paddle. What peace and quiet - and that in The Hague! What do you think are the most important elements about the house that make it nice to live in? Space, light and tranquillity. Because there is a lot of space in the living room, we created a sitting area in addition to a TV corner. You can always sit there behind the many windows at the back with a view of the outside. When the sun shines, it is a great place to be, even (or especially) in winter. The house offers a lot of space for a family because of the large living room, the kitchen with double refrigerators and the number of bedrooms. What do you think are the most appealing elements of the living area? This is living in a practical and comfortable house in a quiet street, but with all amenities within easy reach. There are two primary schools within walking distance and plenty of playgrounds and squares to play outside. Moreover, Wateringse Veld College is not far away. The Hoge Veld shopping centre is a few minutes' cycle away, where you will find not only shops but also the library, a tram and bus stop and a GP practice. In the other direction (towards Rijswijk) you will find the swimming pool de Schilp and a bit further away the parks Steenvoorde and Overvoorde, where you can take lovely walks in the greenery. Its location on the outskirts of The Hague means you can go in all directions; to The Hague, Rijswijk, Wateringen and Delft. What is the reason for your departure? We are moving to the east of the country. If only we could take the house with us...
