Ground floor The spacious entrance provides access to the meter cupboard, the toilet, and a large storage room (approximately 9 m²) with connections for a washing machine and dryer. The multifunctional (garden) room (living room, bedroom, playroom, home office) of approximately 24 m² has windows on both sides and a lovely view over the quiet, spacious street. First Floor The stairs lead to the impressive living area. Here you'll find a spacious living room of approximately 59 m² with plenty of natural light, a cozy sitting area, and a view of the yacht pond at the front, and the kitchen-diner at the rear overlooking the dike. The modern bathroom is luxuriously finished with a freestanding bathtub, a spacious walk-in shower, and a vanity with a double sink. Each house has a distinctive façade, reminiscent of the historic townhouses of Gouda's city center. The island is surrounded by water, giving you a sense of openness as you enter our house. It's great that you have water views on both sides through the large windows and that you're one floor up from street level. This provides a great deal of peace and privacy. The house is completely sustainable. The house no longer uses gas or electricity; it generates its own power thanks to the panels. Heating is provided by a ground-source heat pump that also provides cooling in the summer. There hasn't been a summer where it's warm inside. The entire house is triple-glazed, and for hot water comfort, there's a heat recovery system and a larger 200L boiler. Naturally, the kitchen also features a Quooker for boiling water. We love luxury, and you'll find that reflected in our house. We have a large open-plan kitchen where you can cook to the highest standards and enjoy high-quality Miele and Liebherr appliances. Automated cooking is possible using the steamer and temperature gauges in the ovens. The refrigerator is a large one with three bio-fresh drawers, so food is always fresh from the fridge. We enjoy long dinners with friends, and a good glass of wine is easily accessible from the refrigerator near the dining area. For the floor and window treatments, we appreciated working with local contractors like Woondecor and Van De Linde to ensure high-quality workmanship. The whalebone pattern also gives a more spacious and uncluttered feel compared to a standard herringbone pattern. Besides cooking, we value relaxation. A conscious decision was made to expand the bathroom, both in width and depth, to install a freestanding bathtub and a spacious walk-in shower. A small tip: Power is already pre-installed under the bathtub for a Jacuzzi or jets in the existing bathtub. Besides the upstairs bedrooms, the ground floor is used for working from home and as a playroom for our children. To create extra light in the hallway, a glass door was installed here instead of the standard solid doors. This gives an extra sense of space when you're in this room. The area is quiet, and the street has no through traffic. This means you can move around peacefully and safely on the street, and in our case, the children could play safely. The neighborhood is child-friendly, with a large enclosed playground across the street. In the winter, there's lots of fun on the ice both in front of and behind the house. The neighborhood is home to many young families. The immediate neighbors are average-aged (children no longer live at home) and very courteous. We've developed a good relationship in a relatively short time. We will miss them very much. We are pursuing our dream of living in the Veluwe region. It's a shame we can't bring this house with us to our new region. We have always cared for this home with great love and care and hope it ends up in good hands. Have fun and enjoy!
