Seller’s Story:
We moved into this home in 2018 after returning from abroad. It’s a wonderfully bright house with a south-facing garden. We’ve greatly enjoyed the view of the park’s trees from our garden — something we’ll surely miss. Tucked away at the end of a small lane, we still believe this is the best spot in the park.
Early in the morning, we sip coffee while listening to woodpeckers and birdsong. Sometimes a hedgehog shuffles through the garden in the evening. One Christmas Eve, we were even visited by an owl perched in the tree next to the aviary — truly a unique place in nature, yet so close to the city.
Within walking distance is Gouda’s beautiful city hall with its cozy cafés around the market square, plus restaurants, shops, and the theater. With the train station around the corner and easy access to the A12 and A20 highways, you can reach Utrecht, Rotterdam, or The Hague in under 30 minutes.
We still love living in this neighborhood, which is why our new home is just a bit further along in the park.
Layout – Ground Floor
Upon entry, the spacious and light-filled hallway stands out, featuring an elegant granite floor. Here you'll find the electrical cabinet (13 circuits including cooking group and 3 earth leakage switches), a modern toilet, and stairs to the first floor.
The inviting L-shaped living room (approx. 39 m²) exudes warmth and charm, with a beautiful oak floor and a characterful open fireplace as its centerpiece. Large windows and French doors to the garden allow plenty of natural light and create a seamless connection between indoors and outdoors.
The sunny, south-facing garden (approx. 128 m²) is perfect for relaxing. The large, pile-supported terrace provides ample space for a dining table or lounge set. Surrounded by greenery, it offers privacy and a sense of freedom. At the back of the garden is a spacious, pile-supported shed (approx. 14 m²) with electricity, ideal for storage or as a workshop.
The semi-open kitchen (2018) is a dream for cooking enthusiasts. It is equipped with high-end built-in appliances, including a dishwasher, extra-wide oven, combination microwave, cooktop, extractor hood, and a professional-style tap for maximum convenience. Next to the kitchen is a utility room with space for a washing machine.

Stained-glass windows in the stairwell add character to this level. The spacious landing leads to three bedrooms, a small room ideal as an office or walk-in closet, and a modern bathroom.

Bedroom 2 (approx. 14 m²), also at the front, is spacious and filled with light.

The luxurious bathroom (approx. 11 m²) is sleek and modern, with a bathtub, spacious walk-in shower, double sink, and toilet. There is also an additional room currently used as a walk-in closet, which could also function as an office.
Second Floor
A fixed staircase leads to the second floor, which houses two more generous bedrooms and a second bathroom.
Bedroom 4 (approx. 17 m²) is at the front and features a dormer window, adding space and natural light. This room also has a charming loft area, accessible by a fixed staircase, ideal as an extra sleeping or play area.
