Description

Lovely farmhouse with idyllic garden, suitable for double occupancy ...and neighbors are part of the Eight Castles Route, because this beautiful residential farmhouse is located next to the historic country estate De Wildenborch. It is a dream spot, a pleasant distance from both Lochem and Vorden. This traditional hall-house farmhouse is located in the beautiful hamlet of De Wildenborch and was built in 1929. ( was before 1929 just pasture) In recent years there is a lovely home of made, where the part is in use as living room, kitchen and hobby room. The living area of the farmhouse is 249 m² and the plot covers almost 4,000 m². The house is mostly ground floor living, but the front house - which could serve as a B&B or second home - also has two bedrooms upstairs. In total, there are seven (!) bedrooms, two bathrooms, and the house also has a giant of a storage attic. A garden to dream of The house itself is a picture; an attractive family home with pleasant spaces, adapted to today's standards of living comfort. It has a new kitchen, double glazing and robust materials have been used. All in all, it makes this a lovely home. But, the icing on the cake is the garden... The current residents have turned it into a real paradise, but one to just live in. There are playful lawns, room for a flock of chickens, a trampoline, a soccer field, an orchard, and next to the house a cute ornamental garden, with terrace. In addition, there are two sheds, leaving plenty of room to store cars, bikes, lawnmowers, etc., etc., etc. Between Lochem and Vorden This fine place is located in the hamlet of De Wildenborch, right between Lochem and Vorden. The coulisse landscapes are pretty much invented here and there are places to walk everywhere. Also for avid cyclists, equestrian enthusiasts, walkers and runners this is a location that never gets boring; from home you will discover the most idyllic spots this region has to offer, such as the Grote Veld, the Lochemse Berg, the Kaleberg and the Enk. For the sporty among us there is a challenging MTB route of no less than 90 km in the surrounding woods and outlying areas. Lochem is a small town and a large municipality in the Achterhoek, and has long been a popular landing place for people seeking the peace and quiet of the East. Everything can be found there: from stores, restaurants, good schools and several thriving sports clubs, to fine hotels, an open-air theater and a theater with a fine annual program. Vorden is truly a gem in the heart of the Achterhoek. Known as the Eight-Castle Village, it is a popular spot for cyclists and vacationers. And that applies all year round, because even in autumn and winter this place attracts bon vivants and Burgundians, because of the Game Season. For example, Hotel Bakker is famous even across the border for their annual game menu. First floor The front house has two entrances: to the front and to the right. Through the front entrance into the bright hall, with the stairs to the two bedrooms upstairs. On the floor are still the original tiles, black and white checkered with a decorative border. To the right is the kitchen of the front house, again with the original floor - red-black with decorative border. In the cozy dining kitchen there is room for a dining table and we find a kitchenette with sink, induction hob and convection oven. In the hall a utility room, built-in closet and the bathroom, with walk-in shower, WC and sink. The living room takes us back to the early days of this house, as here was the Sunday sitting room. The old fireplace with the original tiles houses a cozy wood stove. Following this are two nice bedrooms. The back house has the entrance on the left side, in the generous utility room. Here is a spacious wardrobe and the connections for washer and dryer. Immediately to the left is the first of the three bedrooms. The hobby room is a cozy playroom, with access to the other two bedrooms, the bathroom with shower and sink and a separate WC. French doors open onto the lovely sun terrace. The living room is located at the rear of the house, with unprecedented views over the garden and the meadows behind. Behind glass a charming fireplace, which as a tunnel fireplace provides both the living room and the hobby room with warm comfort. The kitchen is modern, with a large cooking island integrating a Bora induction hob with downdraft extractor. Furthermore, a sink and a dishwasher. In the appliance wall a refrigerator, a fan oven and the necessary storage space. Outdoor area The surrounding gardens are varied and absolutely beautiful - laid out with care and vision. But, it is mainly the location that makes this house so special; leaning against the Wildenborch, the environment here takes on something fairy-like. When the white wives -mystical fragments of fog (or is it something else?) - hang over the lawns here, in the late afternoon or early morning, it is enchantingly beautiful. Deer graze along the edge of the forest and the owl has a permanent place in all this. Equally practical: there are two spacious barns, the garage with double carport and the woodshed with space to sit, the chickens to house and garden stuff to store. In short Have you become curious about this beautiful farmhouse? We are happy to take you for a viewing.
