Welcome to this exceptionally beautiful architect-designed home, located on the edge of the Ekenrooi residential area in Aalst, in the municipality of Waalre. A stunning location: in a residential neighborhood yet surrounded by nature! The architect (Arconiko Architecten) designed the home to harmonize with its surroundings. The rear façade consists largely of windows offering views over the garden and the natural area behind it.

4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, office, and a multipurpose room;
Ground-floor bedroom with en-suite bathroom;
Well maintained, fully insulated. 6 solar panels – energy label A;
Air heating with cooling function / partial underfloor heating;
Professionally landscaped garden with lots of privacy, adjacent to nature reserve;
Child-friendly, quiet neighborhood near the ‘Grote Heide’ nature area;
Primary school, supermarket, other amenities and highways nearby;
Ideally located for regional companies such as ASML, HTC, and MMC.
GENERAL:
The home offers four bedrooms, one of which – with an en-suite bathroom – is on the ground floor. There is also a comfortable office, a fully insulated indoor garage with underfloor heating, and a spacious living area with a semi-open kitchen. Both the living room and kitchen have large windows with views of the garden. On the first floor, there are three more bedrooms, a bathroom, a storage room, and a versatile multipurpose room.
Outside, you'll find a large covered patio with a fireplace, a storage shed with the same exterior finish as the house, and a beautifully landscaped garden with nature as your backdrop. Parking is on private grounds under the carport, which is fully integrated into the overall design.
This home is truly one of a kind – a beautiful mix of shapes and materials in a unique style. It’s a stunning home that needs to be seen in person. The location is equally exceptional: close to amenities, directly adjacent to the ‘Grote Heide’ nature reserve, and highly accessible. You're on the A2/A67 highways in under a minute, and can cycle to the center of Eindhoven in under 20 minutes.
ENTRANCE:
A long, spacious hallway separates the sleeping wing and office from the rest of the ground floor. The floors are finished in beautiful Plexwood, which is also found in the living room and bedroom. The walls and ceilings are neatly plastered, and light flows in from the high-set windows. The eye-catcher here is the floating staircase – a work of art in itself.
OFFICE AND TOILET:
To the right is the door to the office, and to the left is a hallway with a cloakroom, fuse box, toilet, and door to the garage. This layout makes the office perfect as a private practice space. The toilet room features a modern wall-mounted toilet with a stainless steel sink. The walls are finished with narrow landscape tiles and plasterwork above – a beautiful match with the white landscape tiles.
GROUND-FLOOR BEDROOM:
At the rear of the home is the master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. Sliding doors provide access to the garden. The same Plexwood flooring is found here. The bedroom features a wall of closets separating it from the dressing area and bathroom.
GROUND-FLOOR BATHROOM:
This bathroom also features white landscape tiles and sleek plasterwork. It is equipped with a walk-in shower with thermostat and rain shower, a vanity with mirror cabinet, and a toilet. A window provides natural light and ventilation. The bathroom has underfloor heating combined with air heating.
LIVING ROOM:
What a space and what light! This area perfectly reflects the architectural vision. The numerous windows create the feeling that the living room is an extension of the garden – a seamless connection with the outdoors. This is enhanced by the sliding doors that lead directly outside. A wall of glass blocks between the living room and hallway provides beautiful light flow and a playful spatial effect. On both sides of the wall are sliding doors to the hallway.
The living room is spacious and again features the stunning Plexwood flooring. A gas fireplace adds even more atmosphere. There’s nothing more to do here—just relax on the sofa and enjoy the view of the garden and trees.
OPEN KITCHEN:
The kitchen is openly connected to the living space. You can enjoy both the fireplace and the view from here. The dining table is bathed in natural light, and another sliding door gives access to the terrace and garden. The heated floor is finished with Turkish bluestone tiles.
Italian charm! A large cooking and sink island sits in the center, featuring an induction cooktop and a cylindrical Italian-designed extractor hood. This is beautifully combined with the terrazzo countertop and handleless cabinets. A Quooker provides instant boiling water. The kitchen includes everything you could wish for: a large oven, combi-oven, fridge, freezer, elevated dishwasher, and a dedicated coffee corner! An additional cabinet wall perpendicular to the main unit offers even more storage without compromising the sense of space. A door at the front gives access to the carport.
FIRST FLOOR:
What a stunning staircase! A floating staircase with checker plate treads. You ascend alongside the sloping ceiling. This floor features three bedrooms across two wings, connected via the landing and a “bridge” over the staircase, leading to the bathroom and storage area.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL ROOM:
To the left of the staircase is a spacious sitting/multipurpose room with a large window overlooking the garden. On the other side, natural light enters through layered plastic light panels.
BEDROOMS:
This room provides access to two spacious bedrooms. A beautiful feature upstairs is the continuous roofline, which peaks with high windows and slopes down to the light panels. On the other side of the staircase is the fourth bedroom and bathroom. The bedrooms at the rear offer tall windows with views of the garden.
BATHROOM:
The upstairs bathroom matches the style of the one below. It also features beautiful landscape tiles. A new walk-in shower was installed a few years ago. The spacious bathroom includes a lovely bathtub, wall-mounted toilet, and double vanity. Underfloor heating is also present here. There are connections for a washer and dryer, and a storage room is located behind the bathroom.
GARDEN:
Indoor and outdoor spaces flow seamlessly thanks to the sliding doors. A metal awning filters the sunlight, creating a perfect spot to relax. The covered terrace continues the home’s sleek design and features Turkish bluestone flooring. There is a built-in outdoor fireplace with wood storage, making it ideal for lounging late into the evening. The covered area connects to an insulated garden shed that matches the home’s exterior. At the back of the garden, there is an outdoor shower. The garden is beautifully landscaped, with a mix of permanent greenery, planters, grass, paths, and terraces — all with nature as the backdrop. Lots of greenery and privacy! There are no rear neighbors.
To the left of the house from the garden, there's a rear gate with covered bike storage and a small shed. And while you're looking that way: what a beauty — the combination of tall windows, rich facade cladding with mahogany window frames, and the crisp white plastered walls!
