“A haven of peace and space” is the best way to describe our family cottage with its surrounding land. A place to escape the busy life in Amsterdam and recharge by the Vinkeveense Plassen. It is therefore with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to “our little piece of land.”
More than 60 years ago, we stayed here as young children during the summer holidays with our grandmother. We had endless fun. Swimming every day, sailing, and in those days even rowing to the village for groceries. Time has passed, and the family grew. Many celebrations were held here; even a wedding took place.
After all these wonderful years, we have decided to leave cottage “Compromis.” A new chapter has begun, with distant horizons ahead.
