Surroundings

Het Java-eiland is onderdeel van het Oostelijk Havengebied, dat verder bestaat uit Borneo, KNSM-eiland, Sporenburg en de Rietlanden. De bekende architect Sjoerd Soeters maakte het stedenbouwkundig ontwerp voor het Java-eiland. In zijn ambitie om een sfeer te creëren waar mensen zich prettig voelen is hij geslaagd. Java-eiland is uitgegroeid tot een zeer geliefde woonwijk, met een rijke mix aan bouwstijlen. De centrale ligging is ideaal.
