Eye-catcherPrachtig en uniek monument gelegen aan de mooiste gracht van Utrecht!

Description

Two buildings, three garages, a spectacular number of square meters of living space (67: 654 m2 and 67a: 97 m2) and a no less spectacular wharf cellar with swimming pool. The term "unique" does not cover the cargo. Below we try to describe in words what you actually have to see with your own eyes: a special opportunity to combine (double) living, working and ultimate relaxation in the city center of Utrecht. The house is located on the most beautiful canal in Utrecht in the Museum Quarter. The name of the district already explains it, various (national) museums are located in the immediate vicinity. In addition, there are 3 private schools (both primary and secondary education) and many shops that form the city center of Utrecht within walking distance. Despite the central location, roads (A12, A27 & A28) are easily accessible. Part of this national monument was already build as a brother's house in 1500. The most recent addition dates from the last century and involved connecting and expanding various wharf cellars. This has resulted in very surprising spaces and functions. We start at the monumental front door of house at number 67. The high skylight provides plenty of light in the spacious hall and wardrobe. The "art rail" enlivens the walk to the back of the house. There are two living rooms / office spaces on your right, one of which has a view of its own private patio. In the transition from the front to the back of house you will find a beautiful 17th century spiral staircase that runs from basement to attic. Via a few bright red painted steps you enter the beautiful living room, where large windows, interior shutters and window seats offer a view of the big courtyard. Above the marble fireplace and on the high ceiling (4.40 m) you can see rosettes and reliefs. Now, we take you to the basement level. First of all to the kitchen with a classic look through the robust fireplace, marble floor, small white tiles on the wall and the vaulted ceiling. All this is combined with modern cooking comfort and luxury built-in appliances. There is an open passage to the dining room where the fireplace is a real eye-catcher. Not only in color, but also in size. Watching a movie after dinner? There is a passage to the private cinema, it is only a few steps to the next room. The wine cellar can also be found in this part of the house. Into the cellar, towards the canal, you can relax and have fun on the marble floor of the party space. Then we find an excellently equipped spa with several rooms. You can relax internationally here; There is both a Turkish marble bath as well as a Finnish sauna, plus a spacious relaxation area. In the adjoining space you will not only find a freestanding bubble bath, but also a triple shower facility. We end with the ultimate surprise: the gigantic swimming pool. The Italian marble, the pillars, but especially the special arch bridge that spans the water, inspired by Monet's bridges, form an impressive combination. Detail: the pool is cleaned using ultraviolet light so that only little chlorine is required. Next to the pool you will find an exit to the ancient wharf and the water of the Nieuwegracht. Back upstairs. Wooden herringbone floors, paneling, gold-plated niches and marble fireplaces; You will find it all in this house, but the most awe-inspiring and at the same time modest remnant of earlier times is a mural with people, animal figures and a landscape dating from 1535 on the floor of the front house, in what now functions as a master bedroom. The adjoining bathroom consists of two parts; a freestanding bath by Philippe Starck, stained glass windows and the presence of patio doors to a balcony characterize one part. A few steps down is a luxurious marble shower room. There are also two wardrobe / dressing rooms with plenty of closet space on this floor, plus a separate toilet. The second floor consists of a spacious landing, four (sleeping) rooms, a second bathroom and a separate toilet. A balcony and a generous terrace form the outdoor areas, from which you have a spectacular view of the city. One staircase up, the attic extends twenty meters long over the entire building. You will find several spaces, including a photo lab. The city garden annex courtyard has a Mediterranean look with white walls. Ivy gives it a green touch and on long summer evenings you can light a cozy fire in the outdoor fireplace. The house at number 67 A has a spacious garage on the ground floor. In the living area above there is a living room at the front with a view over the beautiful canal through the large windows and wooden shutters. There is also a hall with a toilet and a kitchen with marble floors. On the second floor you will find a spacious bedroom and a bathroom with shower and toilet. Pink veined Italian marble gives it a luxury atmosphere. The third floor consists of a spacious bedroom and a landing in two parts: at the rear a room with fixed storage cupboards and in the middle a hallway with stairs to the large and free roof terrace of 19 m2 with regal views over tree crowns and the varied buildings of the city centre. Throughout the house there are beautiful wooden herringbone floors. As for the two garage boxes (total 48 m2); this can be reached via the courtyard and by car via Zuilenstraat. It is particularly nice to always be able to park your vehicles effortlessly and covered in the city center. Your home in the future? Do not hesitate to contact us.
