Hulst, the Netherlands' most Flemish Fortified Town, is Zeeuws-Vlaanderen at its best. The Zeeland part of Flanders, where the traditions of two countries (the Netherlands and Belgium) come together. This is also where both countries fought hard, even so hard that over the centuries the people of Hulsten converted their town into a veritable fortress.
